Genesis values families and children.  Genesis’ childrens’ ministry, "The Garden", strives purposely to serve the children of our community. It is a place where kids get to know God and his love,  have fun, make new friends, and grow in character.  It also serves as a place for parents to meet, be encouraged and support each other.

Every Sunday, The Garden offers nursery care for infants and toddlers and age appropriate lessons for children ages 2 through 5th grade during our 10:30 service. Each week The Garden is setup, torn down, and the classrooms are taught by a committed team of volunteers.  If you would like to join this team and serve in The Garden please contact Manya DeZwaan at mdezwaan@genesisthechurch.org.

Parents of Preschoolers

If you are a mom or dad who is expecting or has a child in kindergarten or younger, who enjoys making new friends, or who wants to share the joys and challenges of parenthood, then POPS is definitely for you.  POPS is about personal enrichment and learning, finding community, and sharing resources.  Meetings usually include informal time for conversation, guest speakers, small group discussions, and creative time for crafts.  Our program offers care for children birth – kindergarten by trained and screened caregivers.  POPS meets every Thursday, from 9:15 – 11:15 am.

Attention 7th - 12th Grade Students

On February 26 - 28, we are taking a group to Camp Lael for a winter retreat. The cost is $72 per youth and transportation is provide. To sign up or for more information contact Shari Marshall at sharimarshall@att.net or 248-765-0611. Register by February 17, and scholarships are available.

Marriage Retreat

When was the last time you got away with just your spouse and focused on your marriage? Join us Friday evening, March 26th through Sunday morning at the Lake Huron Retreat Center. The speaker, programming, meals and lodging are included in the $200 registration. This is going to be an excellent investment of time into your marriage and getting authentically connected to 12 other couples.
